Todd Starkey Builders

Todd Starkey Builders is a small family-owned business run by Todd & Sarah Starkey with over 20 years experience in the building and construction industry.

We have a small hard-working team of builders, apprentices and sub-contractors that we work closely with on every project. We are dedicated to working with our clients to ensure they receive a finished project that is of a high standard, whatever the budget may be. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, & offer quality workmanship & honest knowledgable advice.

Whether you are after a brand new home, a modern new bathroom/kitchen, a home renovation/extension or a new decking area, we will ensure the finished product is built to a high standard.

We have proudly achieved 6 awards. In NZ’s most prestigious building awards, which recognises builds of a high standard. Our highest award achievement to date is one at national level, achieving a national winner for a new home build in Rangiora, North Canterbury.

Sarah

Sarah takes care of the behind the scenes ‘stuff’, managing accounts, staff payroll and day to day office duties, but most of all finds her favourite role being in the design stages of many of the projects.
With a passion for Interior design & decorating, house layouts including the designing stages, she enjoys liaising with clients from the start of their building journey, helping them where needed with all aspects of the design phase, exterior choices and interior choices right through to the finished product.

Todd started out his career as a furniture/cabinet maker after leaving school, a few years later his passion for building things led him down the Construction industry path where he now uses his perfectionist skills on a much larger scale. Now with over 20 years experience in the building and construction industry, workmanship and attention to detail are always at the forefront of all of his work.

Rory

Part of the team since 2009 Rory has a wealth of knowledge in building and construction, he is genuine, has an incredible work ethic, is very methodical in his work and delivers a top-notch job on every project he undertakes. Out of work Rory enjoys time tramping in the many places NZ has to offer.

2nd year Apprentice

Dylan

Dylan joined the team fresh out of his secondary education and looked to pursue his career as a builder. He is a valuable member of the team, responsible and hardworking and always striving for the best in each task. After work hours Dylan spends his time surfing at the local spots.

4th year Apprentice

Aaron

Aaron, the newest member of the team, a hard worker and great team player. He is eager to hone the skills and knowledge he already has under his belt and has a great eye for detail. Off the job he enjoys, cars, music and a spot of DJ-ing.
